Privacy

Your data is yours

Kaudal collects no data. There are no accounts to create, no analytics, no ads, no servers of ours. This page explains where your information lives and who can see it.

Effective July 11, 2026.

What we collect

Nothing. Kaudal has no servers of its own and sends your information to no system of ours. We use no analytics or advertising tools, and there is no sign-up or user account.

On the App Store listing this appears as "Data Not Collected".

Where your data lives

Everything you type into Kaudal (members, incomes, categories, expenses) is stored on your device and synced with your iCloud account, in CloudKit's private database. We cannot access it.

If you invite other members to your household, that part is shared with them through iCloud's sharing system (CKShare): only the people who accept your invitation can see the household's data.

Apple provides the iCloud infrastructure, with its own guarantees. You can read how Apple handles iCloud data at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Push notifications

Kaudal uses silent iCloud notifications only to learn that another member changed something and refresh the app. They contain no visible content and pass through no servers of ours.

Widgets

Widgets read a monthly summary stored locally on your device (in the app's shared container). That summary never leaves your device.

Your control

  • You can delete a household from the app itself; if it was shared, the other members lose access.
  • You can stop sharing at any time from Settings.
  • To erase everything: delete the app and its iCloud data (System Settings ▸ your name ▸ iCloud ▸ Manage Storage).

Changes to this policy

If Kaudal ever changes how it handles data, this page will be updated before that change takes effect, with a new date.
